Easter 2010

I love Easter! I love the weather, the colors, the beauty of all that surrounds me. I especially love the celebration of Jesus Christ's victory over the grave. Easter was a little different this year because we had General Conference instead of our regular church meetings and "Easter Sunday" program. Although I missed the music and the lessons at church centering on the Resurrection, I love conference and loved spending the whole day with my family.


I took a photo of the kids outside of our house. TJ assured me he was smiling. Maybe Tyler can give him a few pointers next time!

The girls were so pretty in their new dresses. There is something about having a new dress that makes you feel special! They thanked me all day for them.

My little guys were excited to try out their new ties too! I just couldn't resist getting their favorite colors: blue and black.

We hid Easter eggs the day before and colored eggs as well. I love the chubby little hand squeeeeezing her egg. We sat outside and just soaked in the perfect weather.

Tyler had a great time too. He only wanted to collect the blue eggs. It didn't take him too long to realize that he wouldn't get too many if he kept that up!

I wish I had taken pictures of our egg dying fun. We had such a great time together.


One of my favorite traditions of Easter is attending the Easter Pageant at the temple. It is such a moving program. I love the dancing and the music and of course the story. Thousands of people come to watch and it never fails to move me.

We took some pictures before it started as participants walked around the audience and greeted them. The kids loved the little lamb that a shepherd carried around. The boys had fun seeing the soldiers.

One woman had some costumes she let the kids try on.

My cousin, Catie, was in the show. I can't believe she found us among all the swarms of people. She is so great!

It was a really cold night. The weather man said rain, but we lucked out. We just snuggled up together and settled in.

Tyler and Natalie were very worried and sad during the crucifixion and death of Christ. Tyler didn't watch that part at all. But, he was so excited to see the resurrected Christ. I loved it too, Tyler. What a beautiful depiction of this great event. He lives!
